HONOR Magic5 Ultimate Edition launched with SD8G2, Quad-Curved LTPO display!

Apart from the Magic5 Pro, HONOR also announced the Ultimate Edition variant in China.

The two colorways

HONOR's newest flagship announced!

The smartphone's rear cover uses a vegan leather trim in Elegant Black and Burning Orange colorways. There's a unique shape below the camera island that should provide a better gripping feel when holding it.

Facing its front, you'll see a quad-curved LPTO OLED screen with a size of 6.81 inches. It also has a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 2848 x 1312 FHD+ resolution, IMAX Enhancement, and HDR10+ support.

The phone and the box

Inside, it is equipped with the 4nm 3.2GHz Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 16GB LPDDR5 RAM, 512GB storage, a 5,450mAh battery with USB-C 66W fast charging, and 50W wireless charging.

The cameras

For cameras, it comes with 50MP primary sensor with a 23mm f/1.6 wide unit 1/1.12 sensor + 50MP 90mm 3.5x periscope zoom (100x digital zoom) + 50MP 13mm ultra-wide with autofocus and macro capabilities. While the selfie shooter gets a 12MP sensor and a 3D depth camera.

Others are IP68 water and dust resistance rating, Dual Speakers with DTS: X Ultra sound effects.

In terms of connectivity, it has 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 6 (2.4GHz/5GHz), 2x2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM support.

For the software, the phone runs Android 13 with Magic UI 7.1 skin on top.

It is now up for pre-order in China and the shipment will begin on March 20, 2023. Meanwhile, PH availability is still unknown so stay tuned for more updates.
