To those who do not know, the Infinix HOT 20S is a budget phone boasting specs that you will find above its asking price of PHP 8,499.

To know more about why we think that it is a killer budget phone, read on.

Here's why the Infinix HOT 20S is still a killer for the price:

Premium look
Premium look

1. Premium look - The Infinix HOT 20S arrived in a beautiful-looking flat glasstic back, polycarbonate frame, and glass front. It is available in Sonic Black, Tempo Blue, Fantasy Purple, and Light-Rider White colorways.

What we have is the
Sonic Black variant and it is for those who prefer a sleek and classic look. But, its Fantasy Purple edition also caught my attention due to its unique paint finish.

The device measures just 168.65 x 76.75 x 8.47 mm and weighs 200 grams. It isn't that big for a phone with a large 6.78-inch display.

2. Strong gaming-focused specs on a budget - Despite its affordable price tag, Infinix incorporated gaming-capable specs.

First, the device is boasting a 6.78-inch TFT LCD (IPS) screen with a 120Hz variable refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and FHD+ 2460 x 1080 resolution at 396 ppi. Remember that 120Hz is still rare under PHP 10K phones.

Moreover, Infinix added plenty of software tricks to further optimize the gaming experience like the Dar-Link 2.0 intelligent dynamic CPU/GPU management and enhance picture quality, LinkPlus 1.0 Game Network Auto-Adjustor for consistent latency + prevent overheating and lessen power consumption, Aurora Engine Lighting Game Booster, and XArena AI Game Accelerator to intelligently oic the best game server to avoid internet congestion.
The cooling system

To help improve its thermals and minimize frame drops when the phone gets warm during long hours of gaming, Infinix installed a Bionic Cooling System.

We are not really heavy gamers, but we are happy to report that it runs some heavy games in medium settings with minimal drops. That is impressive for a budget device.

3. Respectable 50MP main shooter - Its two other 2MP cameras weren't really that noticeable, but Infinix managed to squeeze a 50MP f/1.8 main shooter at the back of this phone despite its budget price tag.

Even if it has some weaknesses, we are pleased with what its 50MP main shooter can do for the price.

4. Plenty of other features - Again, despite its budget price tag, the Infinix HOT 20S is loaded with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, DTS audio, 3.5mm headphone jack slot, USB-C 18W fast charging,

5. Discounted price - The device is currently down to just PHP 8,199 or PHP 8,299 (from PHP 8,499) at both Lazada and Shopee online. These discounts make it an even better deal.
