Samsung confirms the culprit behind the battery drain issue on One UI 5.1 update and fixes it.
Last February, there have been reports from Samsung Galaxy users who experienced sudden short battery life after updating to One UI 5.1.
There are even users that stated having "odd heating issues" particularly those who use the Galaxy S21 and S22 series.
Now the Korean tech giant is finished investigating the root cause and confirms that the Samsung Keyboard app was the one to blame.
Based on the Korean firm's statement "the app consumes more battery than usual due to "additional qualifying process (related to stickers and emojis)". While the precise information of this process is still unclear. The brand started rolling out a supposedly "Fix" for the said problem.
For now, all users need to do is wait for the fix or may try checking on the Galaxy Store, go to Menus, select updates, choose Samsung Keyboard, press settings, tap About Samsung Keyboard and tap on the update.
This, hopefully, closes the entire problem of battery draining issue and lets the users enjoy the new One UI 5.1 update more.
