Xiaomi 13 Ultra announced: 4x 50MP cams, Leica Summicron lens, SD8G2, and ultra-bright AMOLED display
Xiaomi has just introduced the new Xiaomi 13 Ultra with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 50MP quad-rear cameras, and a 2K 120Hz AMOLED screen in China.

Quad 50MP rear cameras!
The new powerhouse features an IP68 water and dust resistance-rated body in Black, White, and Olive Green colorways and a 6.73-inch 2K OLED LTPO C7 display with a 3200 x 1440 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and a 2,600 nits peak brightness. It supports Dolby Vision and 1920Hz PWM dimming and is Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protected.
Inside are the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 octa-core processor, Next Gen Adreno GPU, 12GB/16GB LPDDR5X RAM, 256GB/512GB/1TB UFS 4.0 storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with USB-C 90W wired fast charging, 50W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.
Xiaomi boasts that the components are cooled with a new Loop Liquid Cool technology which uses a Vapor Liquid Separation design and a one-way circulation structure. This is expected to yield three times the cooling improvement over traditional vapor chambers while ensuring equivalent thermal conductivity improvement of more than three times. Xiaomi also says that this solution can dissipate heat that exceeds 10W.

At the back are the 50MP f/1.9-4.0 primary camera with 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor, variable aperture, and HyperOIS, a 50MP f/2.2 122-degree ultra-wide-angle camera with Sony IMX858 sensor, a 50MP f/1.8 3.2x optical telephoto camera (75mm equivalent focal length) with OIS, and a 50MP f/3.0 10x optical periscope telephoto camera with Sony IMX858 sensor, OIS, 120x digital zoom, and LED flash.
It can save images in 14-bit Ultra RAW photos and record footage in 10-bit 8K.
In front is a 32MP f/2.0 front-facing camera with an RGRW sensor.
Other features include an In-Display fingerprint scanner with heart rate monitoring, Infrared Sensor, Hi-Res Audio, dual speakers, WiFi 6E, Dolby Atmos, 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, NFC, and dual SIM slots.
The phone measures 163.18 x 74.64 x 9.06 mm and weighs 227 grams.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is now available for pre-order and it will go on sale in China this April 21, 2023.
Xiaomi expects the phone will roll out in several countries globally in the next few months. There is no word yet on Philippine availability and pricing.
