Meta opens waitlist for paid subscription service in PH, priced at PHP 599

Meta invites Facebook users to join the waitlist for the upcoming launch of its paid subscription service in the Philippines.

Facebook’s parent company has opened the waitlist for the launch of Meta Verified in the country.

The three steps to join

To join the list, just follow the steps below:

• Search Meta Verified on the app and tap this icon.
• This will lead you to where you can tap “Join the waiting list.”
• A notification of confirmation that you have joined the list.

The social media giant then said this service is a "subscription bundle on Instagram and Facebook that includes a verified badge that authenticates your account with government ID, proactive account protection, access to account support, and increased visibility and reaches,"

Among its features are getting the verification badge to let your followers know it’s the real you, preventing impersonation through active account monitoring, getting direct support to address account issues, and accessing exclusive content like starts and stickers only available for Meta Verified users.

The price in the Philippines

This subscription service was initially launched in Australia and New Zealand.

Prior to Meta, Twitter has already launched its own paid subscription service called Twitter Blue in the Philippines.
