Red Magic 8S Pro series launched: up to 24GB RAM, SD8+ Gen 2, and up to 165W fast charging!

Apart from the Red Magic tablet, the brand also announces the 8S Pro series both with massive RAM and Storage options.

The Red Magic 8S Pro series launched!

These phones are upgrades from the previous Red Magic 8 Pro last January 2023. Similarly, the 8S Pro series comes with a gamery design with an RGB fan at the back.

The rear design

They have a 6.8-inch OLED screen with FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 960Hz touch sampling rate, 10-bit color depth, 100 percent DCI P3 color gamut, 1440Hz PWM high-frequency dimming, DC dimming, and 1,300 nits of max brightness.

Inside, both devices have Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 an overclock variant with frequencies of 3.36GHz and 4nm design. On the GPU department, the new-gen Adreno gets boosted to 719MHz from 680MHz

Moreover, they come with Redcore R2 dedicated gaming chip that should provide improved gaming performance. The chip is paired with  8/12/24GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. Do note that the 8S Pro+ variant only can get up to 24GB RAM.

The 8S Pro comes with a 6,000mAh battery + 80W fast charging combo. While the 8S Pro+ model will have 165W fast charging adaptive which is twice bigger.

The Bumble Bee edition

For cameras, they have a triple camera setup such as the 50MP Samsung S5KGN5 primary shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and 2MP macro camera. For selfies, the two have 16MP front-facing cameras.

Other features noted are the iconic 520Hz triggers, ICE 12.0 cooling system apart from the built-in fan, 3.5mm audio jack, 3 microphone setup, and dual X-axis linear motors.

For connectivity, Red Magic noted they have WiFi 7 and 5G.

For OS, the phones run Android 13 with a Red Magic interface.

The pre-orders are now live and the sale begins on July 11, 2023. No word yet for the PH availability but rest assured we will keep you updated once it enters the PH market.
