Light mode will remain, but dark mode will be the default theme
In a recent Tweet, Musk said Twitter "will soon only have 'dark mode'" as its theme settings.
It is better in every way, he added.
Musk later took back his statement by saying light mode will remain, but dark mode will be the default theme.
A lot of people have asked to keep light mode, so we will, but the default will be dark and dim will be deleted, he noted.
However, the Twitter executive did not specify when the change would occur.
Recently, Musk
changed the social media platform's iconic bird logo to an "X."
He also announced that x.com now leads to twitter.com.
Musk also asked his followers to choose between a black heart and a white heart with the caption "Change default platform color to black."
