HUAWEI MatePad Pro 13.2" launched: Kirin 9000s, flexible OLED, and new M-Pen Stylus

HUAWEI introduces its latest tablet and the biggest yet from its arsenal. Behold the MatePad Pro 13.2"

The tablet's design

HUAWEI MatePad Pro 13.2 launched!

As the main highlight, this is the world's first flexible OLED panel boasting a 13.2-inch size, borderless 94 percent screen-to-body ratio, 2880 x 1920 resolution, wide color P3 gamut, 1,000 nits of max brightness, 3:2 aspect ratio, 1440Hz PWM dimming, and Rheinland Global Eye Protection 3.0 certification.

When it comes to design, the brand claims this is the world's thinnest and lightest tablet for a big size weighing 580 grams and measuring only 5.5m thin.

Another look at the tablet

Inside, the device is equipped with the 2.62GHz 7nm Kirin 9000s 12-core chip with Maleoon 910 GPU. It is paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB storage and comes with a 10,100mAh battery that charges using USB-C and 88W fast-charging brick.

For cameras, the tablet sports a 13MP + 8MP dual rear camera setup. As for selfies, it uses a 16MP sensor.

Other features are 6 dual-channel speakers (2x high-frequency + 4x low-frequency), a large graphite cooling area of 52000m㎡ , and VC liquid cooling.

Another highlight is the new M-Pencil that uses StarLight technology features 10,000 levels of pressure and can hit 0ms low latency. HUAWEI claims it offers improved writing and drawing experience versus its predecessor. The brand also noted it is 20 percent higher in accuracy versus the 2nd gen Apple Pen.
