Samsung W24 and W24 Flip announced: Golden frames, Ceramic covers, and SD8G2!

Samsung introduced a more premium/pricier series of foldable devices in the form of W24 and W24 Flip.

Samsung introduces W24 and W24 Flip!

These smartphones are based on the recently launched Galaxy Z Fold5 and the Flip5.

The difference will be the golden frames that you can see around the phone's bodies. Samsung also combined these gold colors with a Black rear cover and a stylus pen.

The back panels are in fact made of ceramic material making it more scratch-resistant compared to the regular Z Fold5 and Z Flip 5.

Samsung added they used a more expensive material nano-polished ultra-closed Seiko hinge for a stronger, more durable, and aesthetically pleasing look.

The W24 (Fold)

Anyways, the rest of their specs are familiar. The W24 poses the same hardware as the Fold 5. It features Gorilla Glas Victues 2 protected 120Hz 7.6-inch FHD+ 2176 x 1812 Dynamic AMOLED 2X main screen, 6.2-inch FHD+ out panel, SD8G2, 16GB/1TB storage, 4,400mAh battery w/ USB-C 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging support. 

For cameras, it uses a 50MP wide f/1.8 sensor with Dual Pixel AF, OIS + 12MP ultra-wide f/2.2 sensor, and another 10MP f/2.4 3x telephoto sensor with OIS + LED flash.

The W24 Flip

On the other hand, the W24 Flip comes with identical specs to the Z Flip5. It features Gorilla Glass 6 protected 120Hz 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOELD 2x FHD+ main screen, 3.4-inch Super AMOLED screen with 748 x 720 resolution outer display, SD8G2 SoC, 12GB RAM, 512GB storage, 3,700mAh battery w/ USB-C 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.

When it comes to cameras, it has 12MP f/1.8 w/ AF, OIS, + 12MP f/2.2 123-degree ultrawide + LED flash.

China price with direct-to-PHP conversion (no taxes and duties yet):

Samsung W24 Flip 12GB/512GB - CNY 9,999 (around PHP 77.9K)

Samsung W24 16GB/1TB - CNY 15,999 (around PHP 124.7K)

So far these devices are only available in China. It's unknown yet whether it will be offered to the Global market. Stay tuned for now as we will let you know once we hear of it.
