The Xperia 1 V introduced Sony's ExmorT IMX 888 stacked CMOS sensor with 2-layer transistor pixel technology earlier this year, and the company is now delivering two additional sensors with the same design—the IMX903 and IMX907.

The vital aspect here is the separation of transistor and photodiode layers which enables physically larger diodes, thus more light absorption will produce an improved low-light performance.

Meanwhile, other BBK brand such as vivo has also announced a partnership with Lytia for the upcoming vivo X100 will arrive with Sony-stacked CMOS sensors.
