HONOR has unveiled the next generation of its foldable booklet-type smartphone called the Magic Vs2.
It comes with a much simpler take on the rear cover as HONOR removed the striped pattern on the predecessor and replaced it with a much cleaner look. However, they retained the looks on the camera.
HONOR also brought an updated magnesium alloy frame with a newly engineered Luban titanium hinge which made it possible to be lightweight at 229 grams only.
In terms of screen, the phone boasts a 7.92-inch FHD+ 120Hz LTPO OLED main display and a 6.43-inch FHD+ 120Hz LTPO OLED cover screen. Both also have a 20:9 aspect ratio. These panels also have 10-bit color, 100 percent DCI-P3 color, HDR10+ support, and 1.07 billion colors. In addition, they support Dolby Vision and IMAX Enhanced and are certified by TUV Rheinland for the flicker-free screen.
Inside, the phone is equipped with 3.2GHz 4nm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 with Adreno GPU, 12GB/16GB RAM, and 256GB/512GB storage choices.
For battery, it has a 5,000mAh capacity that charges using a 66W power adaptor and USB-C cable.
When it comes to cameras, the new fold uses a 50MP f/1.9 main shooter + 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide with macro + 20MP OIS 2.5x optical zoom and flicker sensor + LED flash.
For selfies, it has a 16MP shooter with f/2.2 aperture.
Other features noted are a stereo speaker with IMAX enhanced and DTS:X support, a 3x microphone, and a side-fingerprint reader.
For OS, the Magic Vs2 runs Android 13 with MagicOS 7.2.
