HONOR introduced a new smartphone under the Play series featuring a stylish design, big storage, and a 5G processor.
To start, HONOR added refreshing designs namely the Star Purple and Flowing Light Silver which boasts flowing water-like accents. There are also the simpler ones called the Ink Jade Blue and Phantom Night Black if you don't like flashy vibes.
At the front, it uses a 6.8-inch LCD (IPS) screen with FHD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate.
Inside, it is powered by the 2.0GHz 7nm Dimensity 6020 octa-core processor with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. Paired with 8GB/12GB RAM and 256GB of storage.
For battery, it has a 6,000mAh capacity with USB-C 35W fast charging support.
In the camera department, it uses a 50MP primary shooter + 2MP depth. While the selfie camera uses 8MP.
Other features are the side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 2x speakers, 3.5mm audio jack, and Hi-Res audio (wired and wireless).
Connectivity-wise, it has 5G, 4G, WiFi (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, OTG and dual SIM.
For software, the phone runs Android 13 with MagicOS 7.2 skin on top.
HONOR Play 50 Plus 12GB/256GB - CNY 1,399 (around PHP 10.8K)
HONOR has to announce yet the pricing of the 8GB variant. Also, there's no word yet if they will bring this out of China.
