Apart from the vanilla Xiaomi 14, there's also a Pro version introduced featuring significant upgrades. |
The Xiaomi 14 Pro |
Xiaomi 14 Pro launched with the latest flagship SoC and variable aperture Leica camera!
This is a higher variant that packs similar designs and has a bigger display and beefier hardware. It uses a 6.78-inch 2K C8 OLED LTPO screen co-developed by Xiaomi and TCL. It comes with a 1-120Hz variable refresh rate, 3000 nits of peak brightness, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and 1920Hz PWM dimming.

The display |
Also, the screen uses tech called the All Around Liquid Display, it has a slight curve on all four sides with consistent curvature. The purpose of this is to retain the visual aesthetic of a flat screen while also giving users the feel of a curved edge. Finally, this is protected by Xiaomi Ceramic Glass.
Inside, the device features the latest Qualcomm flagship SoC known as the 3.7GHz Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 octa-core processor with New Adreno GPU.
It is also paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and has up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage.
For battery, the phone uses a 4,880mAh capacity that charges with a USB-C 120W adaptor, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.

The variable aperture feature! |
In terms of camera, the phone boasts a 50MP 1/1.31-inch Hunter 900 sensor with f/1.42-f/4.0 variable aperture. Users can also manually modify the aperture value with a 1/3 EV increment to achieve finer exposure control. The accompanying sensors are 50MP ultra-wide + 50MP 3.2x telephoto. All of these sensors have a Leica Summilux lens which according to Xiaomi will bring significant improvements in imaging. For selfies, the device uses a 32MP camera that can shoot 4K 60 fps.
Other features are a circular cold pump cooling system Vapor-liquid separation design, and one-way circulation instruction which Xiaomi claims can deliver 3x cooling versus traditional VC. It also has stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, a 4x microphone array, an In-Display fingerprint reader, and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
Connectivity-wise, it has 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi7 (2.4GHz/5GHz/6GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC and dual SIM.
For software, it runs the newly announced HyperOS based on Android 14. |
The Titanium Special Edition |
Lastly, there's also the Titanium Special Edition of Xiaomi 14 Pro with a matte finish and presumably better durability due to the strong metal material used.
