Lenovo shows Comprehensive Vision - "AI for All"

This event focused on how Lenovo is going to utilize the power of AI to propel intelligent transformation in every industry and in every area of human lives from pocket to cloud, with specially designed  AI devices, infrastructure, solutions, and services that empower businesses, and individuals globally.

Following the introduction of a USD 1 billion investment in AI innovation, Lenovo released its dynamic approach to hybrid AI which the firm believes that public, private, and personal foundation models will coexist in order to allow AI for All. This approach creates part of a unifying vision of AI for All.

In order to keep your information secure and protect the privacy of users, Lenovo AI can work within a device or securely with on-premises servers.

In both situations, Lenovo AI gains information from data transferred by a single user or from an enterprise's confidential data, but it makes sure that no information goes out to the public or ends up in open training datasets. This has the potential to create more potent and personalized results apart from being more secure.

Dr Lisa Su, AMD Chair and CEO talked about the deep partnership with AMD and Lenovo. She said that:

We have a long history of co-innovating with Lenovo, from ThinkSystem in the data center to ThinkStation workstations and ThinkPad laptops. Moving forward, we are excited to extend our collaboration to power AI-optimized solutions across Lenovo’s PC and data center portfolio powered by AMD Ryzen, EPYC™, and Instinct™ processors.

Currently, Lenovo shared they are working on the next-gen of AI-ready and AI-optimized infrastructure to bring stronger, tailored, scalable, and power-efficient AI to consumers across the globe through a hybrid approach. By extending AI outside the cloud and delivering it to enterprises at the far edge in real-time, the new era of hybrid AI will assist organizations in realizing the power of their data wherever it is created and streamline the route to intelligent transformation.

Meanwhile, leaders from Lenovo and NVIDIA announced an expanded partnership with new, hybrid solutions and engineering collaboration to bring the power of generative AI to every business.

Lenovo will provide fully integrated systems as a time-to-market partner with NVIDIA that enable AI-powered computing everywhere data is created, from the edge to the cloud. This will make it easier for businesses to implement unique generative AI applications that push innovation and industry transformation. In order to provide a wide range of reliable and secure solutions for the most demanding generative AI workloads, Lenovo and NVIDIA will work together to develop next-generation systems based on NVIDIA's adaptable MGX modular reference design. This will enable businesses to use the NVIDIA Omniverse platform to implement cognitive decisions at scale.

All these firms combined are also empowering businesses to easily deploy AI with confidence and start their AI-driven transformations using the new Lenovo AI Professional Services Practice. Offering a breadth of services, solutions, and platforms, the practice aids businesses of all sizes in navigating the AI landscape, finding the proper solutions, and putting AI to work for their firms quickly, cost-effectively, and at scale, bringing AI from concept to reality.
Personal AI Twin

Lenovo gave an example of its Personal AI Twin and offered an illustration of the AI PC of the future, one that will increase productivity, simplify workflow, and protect data. Lenovo also showcased its AI-ready gadgets and features.

This is done with the AI interactions on the keyboard and natural language from the end-user including a new concept feature known as the AI NOW, which is a personal AI twin solution for AI PCs. The said feature utilizes personalized and private inferencing models based on a user's own on-device information base and tailored models and protects the user with data security and privacy protection.

Apart from the AI device presentations, Lenovo also revealed a smartphone adaptative display concept also called Motorola Bendable concept display. Again this has the capability to bend and be shaped into many different forms. You can even wear it around your wrist like a watch. This was built upon the display and mechanical innovations from Lenovo foldable devices and rollable concepts. You may also view the brand's total solution for AI-powered motion capture called Project Chronos. The brand also shared its work on the wider tech ecosystem with partners such as NVIDIA. Lenovo's central computing unit will be running on NVIDIA's DRIVE Thor platform, the world's most powerful in-vehicle computer.

Lenovo also unveiled its vision of business AI Twins, or AI apps with in-depth knowledge about a business and the ability to keep that knowledge private and secure, as part of its focus on smart solutions. Lenovo says, it finds and gets relevant data within your enterprise, from devices, edge, and private cloud, companies, combines them into evaluations and conclusions then suggests solutions.
