HONOR X9b survives Ultra-Tough Challenge, to arrive on January 12 in PH!

HONOR has been hyping up the X9b smartphone recently. The brand has put the device into a series of extreme challenges.

HONOR X9b survives a series of smash-and-drop tests!

To recap, the said X9b handset features an Ultra-Tough glass display which HONOR claims can withstand drops, scratches, and more.

Smashed on bricks too!

The brand has invited multiple media partners to do the testing. In this case, participants have done intense smashing of the HONOR X9b on many thick tiles in 30 seconds.

Meanwhile, they also tried to shoot the phone's screen using paintball guns, sparring sessions, and even archery contests.

Furthermore, HONOR also tried to run the device over using a heavyweight Hummer car.

50 feet drop test

Finally, the device was put to a 50-ft drop test which also survived.

HONOR X9b 5G has been proven durable as the device was carefully studied and has undergone three tempering processes and we are sure that it can surpass the success of its predecessor. Advice for the public though, while we are confident that it will survive intense pressure, intentional dropping and smashing might still cause physical damage to the phone, said HONOR Philippines Vice President Stephen Cheng.

Apart from the Ultra-Tough glass feature, the phone also boasts a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED screen with 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 4nm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 octa-core processor with Adreno GPU, 12GB RAM/256GB storage, 5,800mAh battery w/ 35W fast charger and 108MP main camera.

Apparently, HONOR is not yet done with doing extreme challenges. They will also perform a 100-foot drop test as a final task on its launch date this coming January 12.
