New eco-friendly and AI laptops from ASUS!

During the event, ASUS Co-CEO S.Y Hsu underscored the company's leading role in promoting innovation.

This year we have not only continued our remarkable journey toward sustainability, but we have also leveraged our technological expertise in the field of AI and strategic alliances and partnerships, to create innovative solutions in the fields of consumer, commercial, and gaming. With the dawn of a new age of AI-assisted technologies, ASUS is continuously striving to use this expertise and improve the user experience of every user.

A commitment to quality and sustainability

ASUS then talked about its commitment to quality and with its 2024 consumer and commercial laptops, they said these products underwent rigorous MIL-STD 810H military-grade testing for durability. The company says this is their way of ensuring consumers will have long-lasting value and notable user experiences.

The launch ceremony also highlighted ASUS' continuous support for sustainability, demonstrating extensive ESG initiatives that integrate conservation across goods, operations, and carbon-offset services. ASUS aspires to be a net-zero organization, and its recent certification as an EPEAT Climate+ Champion acknowledges its activities and promotes a proactive approach to environmental sustainability. Setting bold near-term science-based emissions reduction objectives, as certified by the prestigious SBTi, demonstrates their dedication to mitigating climate effects.

ASUS' drive for sustainability also earned them global recognition and acknowledgment by the Financial Times as a Climate Lead in Asia-Pacific and inclusion in the Corporate Knights Clean 200 Index. All of these are thanks to ASUS' inventions like creating the first carbon-neutral laptop, Bamboo-series laptops, and the first carbon-neutral verified business laptop in 2022.

The brand stated that they are actively using recycled materials in manufacturing and packing and has used more than 1,600 tons of PCR plastic since 2017 and 20K+ tons of recycled paper in 2022. Since 2019, ASUS has recycled over 40,000 tons of e-trash, exhibiting its adherence to decreasing environmental impact. As a result, income from environmentally friendly items exceeded 87.2% of qualified revenue in 2022, illustrating ongoing progress toward a circular economy to reduce environmental impact.

Introducing AI-powered laptops and an expanded product line

During the event, ASUS displayed products that are powered by the new Intel Core Ultra processors which are equipped with AI-focused Neural Processing Unit (NPU). The firm claims this should speed up AI workloads and cloud-based AI programs that will result in remarkable performance while also displaying energy efficiency. This improvement helps to extend the battery's lifespan, which aligns with a more ecologically friendly strategy.
