The realme 12 Pro Series will feature a flagship-level periscope camera!
The world's fastest-growing mobile brand said that based on its research, there is a forthcoming preference among young users for telephoto lenses with 3x zoom or more rather than 2x.
On slim phones, you will need periscope telephoto lenses to achieve high zoom levels.
However, the said camera tech was previously exclusive to flagship phones only due to high cost and other technical challenges.
The good news? realme said that the company is committed to bridging this gap by making flagship-exclusive periscope telephoto technology that is available to a wider audience of young users.
According to the company, its upcoming realme 12 Pro Series will feature the "best periscope" camera in its price segment.

In particular, its tech will use a unique combination of prism tilt OIS, Sub-Wavelength Structure Coating, and a Wave Pattern Lens Shade. These are the technologies introduced on the higher-end realme GT5 Pro.
The telephoto capabilities of the device will feature a 3x Portrait Mode with a 71mm golden portrait focal length to create a naturally shallow depth of field. Moreover, it'll come with up to 120x digital zoom.
The sensors that realme used here are the flagship OV64B with a 1/2-inch size. Compared to the iPhone 15 Pro, this sensor is 2x bigger. In addition, due to its large aperture size, its telephoto lens is also 3x more light-sensitive than the iPhone 15 Pro as well.
For the primary camera, it'll come with a Sony IMX890 OIS sensor with a 1/1.56-inch sensor size with 24mm focal length and f/1.8 wide camera.
realme also equipped this device with an ultra-wide camera to periscope modes that offer lossless 0.6x, 1x, 2x, 3x, and 5x zooms similar to more expensive high-end phones.
To help improve its image processing, realme also partnered with Qualcomm to make the realme 12 Pro Series the only device in its price segment to process RAW domains to ensure top clarity, dynamic range, and realism in cinematic portraits.
It also has an omni-focal MasterShot Algorithm is a flagship-level architecture that offers the industry's most advanced computational photography which enables LightFusion Engine for enhanced clarity and tone. The realme 12 Pro Series also has the NightEye Engine for superior night shots as well as its unique movie portrait filters.
