realme GT5 Pro announced: Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, 50MP f/1.69 Sony LYT-808 cam, 5,400mAh battery, palm unlock

As expected, the device arrived with bleeding-edge specs that could rival even the newly launched OnePlus 12.

The handset features a new nano-skin technology that survived more than 500,000 wear resistance tests in Red Rock or Bright Moon colors. There is also a Star Flash AG glass variant with a silky feel for the Starry Night colorway.'

The frame is made with an improved "super-hard" aluminum metal which improved its drop resistance by 40 percent compared to the previous generation.

In front, it uses the new 6.78-inch BOE X1 AMOLED panel with 144Hz refresh rate, 1.5K resolution with ultra-narrow 1.94mm chin bezel, In-Display fingerprint reader, and a top-center notch for the 32MP selfie camera. The maximum brightness of this display is 4,500 nits.

realme also claims that this is the first phone with a fast palmprint unlocking AI feature that unlocks the device when the user opens their palm near the screen.

Inside, the device is powered by the 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 octa-core processor with an improved Adreno GPU, up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, up to 1TB UFS 4.0 internal storage, and a large 5,400mAh battery capacity with USB-C 100W fast charging and 50W wireless charging support.

According to the company, the wired charger offers 50 percent of charge in 12 minutes and over 80 percent battery health even after 1,600 charging cycles.

For cameras, it uses the 50MP f/1.69  Sony LYT-808 w/ OIS + 8MP Sony IMX355 112-degree ultra-wide-angle + 50MP f/2.6 w/ 3x optical zoom + LED flash. This camera configuration allowed the device to do up to 6x lossless zoom, telephoto close-ups, and even low-light teleportraits.

By the way, this can also record up to 8K resolution at 24fps.

This also has a 3VC iceberg cooling system with a 12000mm² area.

In China, the device is now available for pre-order. The actual sale will begin on December 14.

There is no word if it will be if realme plans to bring it to the Philippine market yet.
