DITO Telecommunity cuts losses in 2023
DITO Telecommunity narrowed its losses by PHP 5.6 billion last year amid robust revenue growth.

DITO Telecommunity records strong revenue
According to the financial report of DITO CME, the third telco player's parent firm, the latter managed to reduce its losses after its topline grew to PHP 11.24 billion.
Breaking down, the majority of its revenues came from mobile data, followed by voice calls and text service.
This was on the back of its continuous network expansion, which was fueling the growth of its subscriber base.
It ended 2023 covering 853 cities and municipalities, with around nine million customers.
Last month, based on the April 2024 report released by Opensignal, DITO Telecommunity emerged as the fastest mobile operator in the country, defeating PLDT's Smart Communications and Globe Telecom.
DITO Telecommunity is now the "new outright winner" of the Download Speed Experience award, ending Smart’s dominance, with a score of 32Mbps versus the latter's 28.1Mbps. DITO also maintained its Upload Speed Experience Award.
As it continues to ramp up its 5G network, DITO also bagged the 5G Download Speed and 5G Upload Speed awards.
