The partnership was headed by Anthony Isidro, Fuse Lending President and CEO, Baby Aquino, Fuse Chief Strategy and Product Officer and Kevin Yu who is the GLoan Product Head and Lazada’s Head of Seller Financing Benjamin Ng at a launch gathering recently held at Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

Fuse Lending is the first partner to entirely incorporate a seller loan product into the Lazada Philippines Seller Centre app. The cooperation expands Fuse's reach to micro, small, and medium firms outside the GCash platform and enables Lazada to offer loans to its vendors.

As we continue to grow our presence in the micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) sector, which is the backbone of the Philippine economy, we are glad to be Lazada Philippines’ entrusted partner in providing their extensive network of small business owners with cash loans that are easier, safer, and more convenient, said Fuse Lending President and CEO Anthony Isidro.

GCash and Lazada Philippines tested the service with select vendors earlier this year and want to expand their user base in the coming months on the shopping platform.

The agreement aligns with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas' digital plan, aiming to increase digital payments and financial inclusion by converting 50 percent of retail transaction volumes to digital. The collaboration between fintech and e-commerce companies demonstrates their commitment to providing equitable access to digital financial services, particularly for underprivileged sectors.
