vivo Y38 5G launched!

This comes with a stylish back design reminiscent of realme 12 series 5G's luxury watch-inspired circular camera island. Although vivo added a personal touch by implementing what looks to be a Gen 1 AuraLight apart from the LED flash.

At the front, it packs a 6.68-inch LCD (IPS) screen with 1612 x 720 resolution at 264 ppi, 120Hz refresh rate, and 1,000 nits max brightness.

Inside, the phone is equipped with a 2.2GHz 4nm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 octa-core CPU with Adreno GPU, 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, and 256GB UFS 2.2 expandable storage.

It also comes with a large 6,000mAh battery capacity that charges using a USB-C cable and 44W fast charging.

For cameras, it uses a 50MP primary sensor coupled with a 2MP helper. As mentioned above it also comes with an LED flash and looks to be a 1st generation of AuraLight. This provides optimized lighting according to the environment. At the front, it uses an 8MP selfie snapper.

Other features noted are an IP64 rating for water and dust resistance, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, a 3.5mm audio jack, and stereo speakers.

For connectivity, it comes with 5G, 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and dual SIM.

For OS, the phone runs on Android 14 with Funtouch OS 14 skin on top.

Unfortunately, vivo hasn't posted the pricing and availability yet. But you can already view the phone's information at the vivo Taiwan website.
