Similar to what it did in other regions, Disney+ announced a price hike for its subscription in the Philippines.

From PHP 369 to PHP 519 per month

The new Disney+ subscription price in the Philippines is PHP 519 per month. Originally, this is just PHP 369. That's a PHP 150 increase.

On my end, the price increase will start on June 22, 2024. This varies depending on your subscription date.

This pricing is now near what Netflix is offering at PHP 549 per month. Meanwhile, Amazon's Prime Video is just PHP 149 per month.

Apart from the price increase, there's nothing else new with the Disney+ plan. It can still stream at 4K UHD resolution as well as watch your phone, tablet, laptop, or TV with up to 4 concurrent streams.

It also allows users to create up to 7 profiles and download selected content on max 10 mobile devices.

To recap, Disney+ first went live in the Philippines last November 2022. It is an American subscription video-on-demand over-the-top streaming media service owned and operated by Disney Streaming, the streaming division of Disney Entertainment, a major business segment of the Walt Disney Company.
