Without further ado let's unbox it!
Unboxing/Accessories
 |
Infinix GT 20 Pro Box |
The box arrived in a combination of Black, Blue, and Silver colors all over. You'll see the MPL logo which indicates that Infinix is the official gaming phone of MPL Philippines. You'll also notice the brand's logo next to Mobile Legends while below you will find the memory configuration. Speaking of which we got the 12GB/256GB variant.
 |
Inside the box |
Upon opening the box, you'll see the GT 20 Pro unit itself, the USB-C cable, the 45W charging brick, the hard case, paperwork, the SIM injector tool, and tempered glass.
Note that it has no attached screen protector so you may want to install the tempered glass immediately to avoid unwanted scratches.
Build Quality/Design
 |
The Infinix GT 20 Pro design |
When it comes to materials used, the GT 20 Pro's body is mostly built on plastic which can be seen on the frames, and at the back. Additionally, it has an IP54 rating for some water and dust resistance.
Since Infinix used plastic, we noticed it has contributed to its weight, making it light yet still feel solid to hold. This can benefit in longer gaming sessions since the user will be less resistant when moving around.
 |
Mecha loop LED design |
You'll notice the transparent design and the Mecha loop LED lighting which kind of reminds us of the Nothing smartphones. The difference is that users can tweak the colors of its lighting. This can be particularly used for notifications, charging, and when gaming.
Meanwhile, the camera island also resembles the Mobile Legends map while you can also see the circular LED flash.
 |
The Mecha loop LED turned off |
When it comes to the color of the device, we have here the Mecha Blue but it is also available in Silver and Orange versions.
 |
The GT 20 Pro's display |
In front, the phone boasts a 6.78-inch FHD+ 144Hz AMOLED screen with a 360Hz touch sampling rate and 2340Hz PWM dimming. Infinix also included the Pixelworks X5 Turbo, a dedicated gaming display chip to achieve a stable 120fps on gaming titles.
 |
The selfie camera |
The GT 20 Pro also adopts a centered punch-hole for its 32MP selfie camera. Below the display, there's a fingerprint scanner to open your device.
 |
The top view |
At the top portion, you'll get speaker grills, sound by the JBL logo, a microphone, and an IR blaster.
 |
The bottom view |
Below you'll get another speaker, USB-C, microphone, and SIM tray slot.
 |
The right side |
On the right side portion of the phone, you'll see volume rockers and a power button. While on the left, you won't find any keys from here.
 |
The left side |
For Cameras, the Infinix GT 20 Pro uses a 108MP Samsung HM6 main camera with OIS + 2MP macro + 2MP depth shooter + circular LED flash.

Selfie on low light |
For a gaming-centric phone, we were surprised by the quality of our initial shots. The GT 20 Pro is capable of taking well-detailed crisp images in good lighting conditions both outdoors and indoors. The AI works on by default which produces blur on the background of the subjects. However, we can say that it's not perfect. It is evident the blur created doesn't look as natural as seen in daylight samples.
Another thing we noticed is the 3x in-sensor zoom which allowed us to take lossless image quality up to a certain degree. Notching the zoom to 10x which is the limit will deteriorate the image.
When it comes to selfies, the 32MP camera provides good quality photos as well, you can spot the details when zooming in the image. While it also shows balanced and accurate colors.

Good for gaming! |
The Infinix GT 20 Pro offers a strong processor which is more than enough to run popular gaming titles under ultra graphics and frame rates. Moreover, it has a very nice AMOLED display with a dedicated display gaming chip that will push games to have high frame rates of about 120 fps.
 |
Forces 120 fps on Genshin Impact! |
It also has a gaming mode for improved graphics, touch response, and more that should provide an advantage against your opponents.
Moreover, it also has a big battery, fast charging, bypass charging, and decent cameras as well.
So far, we are very happy about it. We will test this further to find out more of its capabilities. Let's all wait for the June 10 official price announcement.
