To recap, the OPPO Find X7 Ultra was released globally in early 2024. It carries the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 octa-core processor, dedicated security chip, LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.0 storage, NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, IR Blaster, WiFI 7, and a 5,000mAh battery with 100W SUPERVOOC flash wired charging.

But what made it win the award mentioned above is the curved 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with a 3,168 x 1,440 resolution and a 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate. It has a peak brightness of 4,500 nits and a typical brightness of 1,600 nits. It supports 2,160Hz PWM Dimming, 10-bit or 1.07 billion colors, the DCI-P3 color gamut, and ProXDR (Ultra HDR compatible via OTA). It is Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and TÜV Rheinland Comfort Certified.

It features O-Sync 3.0 which the brand says ensures the ultra-low touch latency and super responsive touch screen even when the display is wet. This should remove the accidental screen presses when in the rain.

Below the screen is an In-Display fingerprint scanner too.

The Eye Comfort Display Label from DXOMark is only awarded to screens that meet four requirements set by the Laboratory's engineering team.

The first of four requirements is the limit to the amount of flicker that can be perceived should be under 50 percent. OPPO Find X7 Ultra's display flicker perception probability was just 10 percent. An unprecedented result.

The second requirement is the screen has to have a minimum brightness threshold of 2 nits for optimal eye comfort. The OPPO Find X7 Ultra's display managed to go down to just 1.57 nits. This minimizes harsh light and extreme visual contrast, making it more comfortable to use in bed.

The next requirement is that blue light should be limited and must have a circadian action factor of less than 0.65. The Find X7 Ultra managed to produce a circadian action factor of 0.63 that should reduce potential interference with natural sleep cycles which is impacted by blue light exposure.

The last requirement is the color consistency should be at least 95 percent when the blue light filter is active (Using the P3 color space as the reference). With the Blue light filter turned on, the Find X7 Ultra achieved an impressive 99 percent color consistency.

OPPO Find X7 Ultra is the first device that has received the DXOMARK Eye Comfort Display Label. We particularly appreciated the device's smart feature, Bedtime Mode, which efficiently and continuously adapts blue-light filtering to the time of day. The device's circadian action factor, which indicates the level of disturbance induced by artificial lighting on human sleep cycles, reached an impressive 0.63, below DXOMARK's already challenging recommended maximum threshold of 0.65. - Thibault Cabana, DXOMARK Display Evaluation Director

If these results are consistent with each Find X7 Ultra produced, then this is an outstanding achievement.
