Build/Design - The HONOR 200 Pro's back comes with a combination of brushed texture and glossy reflective finish. There's even a design reminiscent of ocean waves in the brushed finish section. A sizable circular glossy polished polycarbonate trim surrounds the camera module. Additionally, the camera module is composed of a glass panel.

It also boasts a curved front glass panel, curved frame, and curved rear panel.

The realme GT6 features front and rear curved glass panels and uses a polycarbonate frame with a faux metal finish.

Both devices offer superb build quality for their class to ensure they are built to last. HONOR comes with a thinner approach here while realme has a thicker body. Despite that, both of them had similar weight. Also, both are prone to fingerprint smudges as well.

Display - The HONOR 200 Pro uses a 6.78-inch Quad-Curved OLED panel with w/ 120Hz refresh rate, 3,840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and 4,000 nits of peak brightness. It also has a crisp 1.5K 2700 x 1224 resolution with 437 ppi. HONOR also said they are using Aluminosilicate glass so the display can survive some scratches.

On the other hand, the realme GT6 comes with a 6.78-inch Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protected LTPO OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, a whopping 6,000 nits peak brightness, and 2,780 x 1264 resolution.

In this area, realme seems to have the upper hand in terms of resolution, peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 glass protection which has been used by many high-end flagships. Meanwhile, HONOR's display provides lesser strain with its 3,840Hz PWM dimming versus realme's 2,160Hz.

Specs - Both devices are powered by 3.0GHz 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 octa-core chip with Adreno GPU and offer the same 12GB LPDDR5X RAM.

They differ in storage as HONOR had higher 512GB UFS 4.0 while realme only offers half at 256GB UFS 4.0.

Also the HONOR 200 Pro has HONOR C1 + RF Enhanced Chip to improve 5G coverage worldwide making it suitable for foreign trips as it provides 17 percent more antenna transmission and 35 percent for antenna reception.

Another difference is that realme uses the Privacy Encryption Chipset to ensure users' data are safeguarded from unwanted digital attacks.

In terms of battery, realme has a bigger 5,500mAh size and faster 120W SUPERVOOC charging. However, HONOR uses a 5,000mAh Silicon Carbon battery and charges with a slightly slower 100W charging speed but has a 66W wireless HONOR SuperCharge for added convenience.

Cameras - HONOR 200 Pro features a 50MP f/1.9 1/1.3-inch OV50H primary shooter with an OIS + 50MP custom Sony IMX856 telephoto sensor with 2.5x optical zoom, up to 50x digital zoom + 12MP ultra-wide angle w/ macro capability.

realme GT6 also wont back down with the 50MP f/1.6 1/1.4-inch Sony LYT-808 w/ OIS + 8MP f/2.2 Sony IMX355 ultra-wide-angle + 50MP f/2.2 Samsung JN5 2x telephoto camera + LED flash.

The camera battle looks tough. Both are offering 50MP flagship sensors that should produce top-tier images. However, HONOR has a higher resolution for ultra-wide and has a slight edge in telephoto cameras with 2.5x optical zoom and up to 50x digital zoom.

realme's telephoto sensor can do up to 2x optical zoom and 20x digital zoom.

HONOR 200 Pro uses HONOR 200 AI Portrait Engine and has partnered with Studio Harcourt to produce the famous portraiture snapshots from Paris right on your smartphone.

realme uses the HyperTone Image engine to improve its own version of portrait shooting.

Other features - The HONOR 200 Pro features an In-Display fingerprint reader, stereo speakers, IP65 dust and water resistance, and Cooling System 2.0 where it uses 5564mm2 large stainless steel biomimetic VC  to keep the performance in check.

realme GT6 has an In-Display fingerprint sensor with a heart rate sensor, stereo speakers, an X-axis linear motor for immersive vibration, an IP65 rating for dust and water splash resistance, and Iceberg Vapor Chamber Cooling.

This cooling is larger sized with a 10,014mm2 3D tempered dual VC + 9-layer cooling system and side full partition cooling design to achieve a more stable performance

For connectivity, HONOR has WiFi 6 2x2 MIMO, 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.3, OTG, NFC, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, and dual SIM (nano).

realme has WiFi 6, 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, has a higher Bluetooth 5.4 while the rest are similar as well.

In terms of software, both are running Android 14 and use their brand's UI skin like the MagicOS 8.0 or the realme UI 5.0. HONOR 200 Pro is confirmed to get 2 years of major OS upgrades and 3 years of software patches and security updates.

HONOR 200 Pro advantages - Slimmer body, quad-curved better flicker-free display, bigger storage, wireless charging, higher resolution for ultra-wide, 2.5x telephoto, higher MP selfie
realme GT6 Pro advantages - Stronger glass protection, higher peak brightness and resolution, bigger battery, faster charging, brighter main cam, larger cooling, slightly higher Bluetooth, and immersive vibration

Our thoughts

realme had a slight edge in more offerings but that's expected with its higher SRP. If you're able to get it at a discounted rate under PHP 30K, it's a good deal.

However, the HONOR 200 Pro nearly matches similar offerings for a much cheaper price and has slightly better camera offerings with larger storage and wireless fast charging support.

For us, these are two of the most competitive all-rounders for the price and you can't go wrong with either.
