What country topped the list?

According to the latest Henley Passport Index, the Philippine passport landed 73rd out of 199 passports in terms of visa-free access to other countries.

The country kept its spot in the January ranking, but its visa-free destinations went down to 67 from 69 in the January index.

Some examples of countries Filipinos can visit without a visa include Brunei, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macao, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Cape Verde Islands, Madagascar, Senegal, Somalia, Uganda, Brazil, Colombia, Israel, Peru, and more.

Singapore ranked first in the latest index with a visa-free score of 195. Landing second were France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and Spain with a score of 192.

Austria, Finland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, South Korea, and Sweden all landed third with visa-free access to 191 countries. They were followed by Belgium, Denmark, New Zealand, Norway, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom with visa-free access to 190 countries.

Landing fifth were Australia and Portugal with a score of 189. The Henley Passport Index ranks all the world’s passports according to the number of destinations their holders can access without a prior visa. It compares the visa-free access of 199 different passports to 227 travel destinations.

The index is based on exclusive data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) – the most accurate travel information database–and enhanced by Henley & Partners’ research team.
