The said device is based on the Nokia 2660 Flip announced last July 2022. The main difference is the glamorous design to suit Barbie fans and it comes with numerous software tweaks. Meanwhile, its US variant will have a different chip, better camera, more RAM/Storage, WiFi connectivity, and a different OS

The HMD Barbie Phone features a 2.8-inch main screen and a 1.77-inch cover screen.

Inside, it features a UNISOC T107 chip, 64MB RAM, 128MB expandable storage up to 32GB, and a 1,450mAh removable battery.

For the camera, it sports a single VGA (0.3MP) shooter at the back. Since it is located at the cover screen, it can also work for your selfies.

Connectivity-wise it has Bluetooth 5, a headphone jack slot, and a USB-C port.

Finally, it runs using S30+ OS.

Now the US variant of the HMD Barbie Phone uses a Qualcomm 215 chip. It is paired with bigger 512MB RAM and 4GB storage but retains the limit of expandable memory to 32GB.

HMD also improved the camera to a 5MP sensor instead of the VGA mentioned above.

There are also slight changes in connectivity because the chip has been replaced. This comes with an older Bluetooth 4.2 but will have WiFi, and GPS/AGPS support.

The US version includes a small hanging holder on the flip bar, and both phones are packaged with additional covers, lanyards, and attachable charms. Moreover, the US variant contains a USB-C charger, which the Global version lacks, although an adapter may still be provided in certain markets.

International price with direct-to-PHP conversion (no taxes and duties yet):

HMD Barbie Phone (US) - USD 129 (around PHP 7.2K)
HMD Barbie Phone (Global) - EUR 129 (around PHP 8K)

It is now available through HMD's website, while the US variant will come around October. However, there's no information yet if it will come to the Philippines.
