LG intros MyView Smart Monitor in the Philippines which offers improved productivity experience.
The new monitor boasts a 27-inch LCD (IPS) panel with FHD 1920 x 1080 resolution, 60Hz refresh rate,14ms response time, 72 percent NTSC color gamut, 8-bit colors, and 250 nits peak brightness.
While those screen specs may appear mainstream, the main highlight is the webOS feature which makes it work without a stand-alone PC at least for some areas.
This allows users to view their cloud PC services like Microsoft 365, and Google applications even without turning their main computer. It also works similarly to that of a Smart TV so you can watch your favorite shows on streaming apps like Netflix, Prime Video, HULU, Apple TV, and YouTube.
It can also run different music streaming apps like Apple Music, YouTube Music, Spotify or other similar. Speaking of which, the monitor also sports 2x 5W stereo speakers making it a smart multimedia device.
LG also highlights that it has some AI functions on the optional Magic remote.
Furthermore, it can be controlled using the ThinQ app where you can access the ThingQ Home Dashboard. This allows users to easily check and manage the status of their home appliances using a single screen together with a remote control.
For ports, the monitor uses 2x USB-A and 2x HDMI.
Finally, the device also supports a VESA mount at the back so you can hook it up to your monitor arm or wall bracket.
