Google also revealed a Foldable version of the Pixel 9 Series.
This will be the second generation of foldable from Google featuring clean aesthetics, a thin profile, and a fluid-friction hinge that enables users to open it fully flat.
Additionally, it also features a multi-alloy steel body, an aerospace-grade high-strength aluminum alloy cover, and a smooth matte glass back panel.
The main screen is now bigger at 8-inch with 2152 x 2076 QHD+ Super Actua Flex OLED LTPO panel with 1-120Hz refresh rate, 2,700 nits peak brightness, and Ultra-Thin Glass protection.
The cover screen uses 6.3-inch 2424 x 1080 resolution Actua OLED with 60-120Hz refresh rate, 2,700 nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
Inside, it is powered by the Google Tensor G4 processor with Titan M2 security chip, 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, 256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 storage, and a 4,650mAh battery with 21W wired fast charging.
For cameras, it uses 48MP Sony IMX787, OIS + 10.5MP ultra-wide camera + 10.8MP 5x telephoto camera with 20x digital zoom and OIS.
For selfies, the fold uses 10.5MP front and inner cameras.
Other features are a side-mounted fingerprint reader, stereo speakers, IPX8 water-resistance rating which Google claims can be submerged up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes.
Connectivity-wise, it has 5G SA/NA, 4G VoLTE, WiFi7 (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and NFC.
For OS, the device runs Android 14 with 7 years of OS updates, security, and feature drop.
