Qualcomm is preparing to debut its Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 flagship SoC this coming October 2024. Meanwhile, the first benchmark for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 Qualcomm Reference Design (QRD) smartphone has appeared.
Based on the listing, the said chip will feature Qualcomm's self-developed Nuvia CPU architecture comprising 2x 4.09GHz big cores and 6x 2.78GHz cores.
Reports also mentioned it is using a 3nm process from TSMC and will use an unofficial GPU name Adreno 830.
Furthermore, the Geekbench 6 listing also revealed it has 2,884 points for single-core and 8,840 points for multi-core.
For comparison, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 QRD device had 2325 points for single-core and 7,448 points for multi-core from similar Geekbench 6.
Renowned leaker Digital Chat Station also noted that the performance in mass-produced retail devices will be better because prior rumors said that single-core scores would approach 3,000 points and multi-core scores would exceed 10,000 points, which is significantly bigger than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
