HUAWEI nova Flip launched!
The brand advertises the nova Flip as a fashion accessory with its colorful designs available in New Green, Sakura Pink, Zero White, and Starry Black editions. It measures 6.8mm in an unfolded state and weighs 195 grams.
It is also worth noting that the phone uses a waterdrop hinge mechanism and is rated by up to 1.2 million folds. With that, the device has passed rigorous testing by SGS Switzerland for durability.
For display, it uses a 6.94-inch LTPO OLED panel with FHD+ resolution and a 1-120Hz refresh rate.

Meanwhile, the cover screen uses a 2.14-inch OLED which can also act as a viewfinder for the main cam and can also display first-party apps such as weather, music, and calendar.

HUAWEI never mentioned the chipset however, a Geekbench listing of nova Flip confirmed it uses a Kirin 8000 chip instead of the initial leak Kirin 9000.
Anyways, the said Kirin 8000 uses 1x 2.4GHz Cortex A77, 3x 2.19GHz Cortex A77, 4x Cortex A55 (efficiency) clocked at 1.84GHz. For GPU, it uses Mali-G610 although the core count is unknown.

It is paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB memory options. It also uses a 4,400mAh battery which can be charged using a 66W USB-C fast charger.
For cameras, it uses a 50MP main shooter with a 1/1.56-inch RYYB sensor and f/1.9 aperture paired with an 8MP ultra-wide and 32MP front camera.
HUAWEI did not detail its data connectivity pertaining to a 5G or 4G but it has WiFi (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM support.
For OS, it runs HarmonyOS 4.2 out of the box. The software also comes with numerous AI tricks like a subject removal tool, text selection from images, and image generation.

It is now up for pre-order in China while the open sales will start on August 10. No word yet for a PH availability.
