Visually, the key changes to the new model are the updated front and rear fascias which include the new Tiger Nose Grille, the new Multi-Faced Reflector Type LED Headlights, the new vertical lamps, and the new Star Map Daytime Running Lights or DRL that improve visibility while giving the car a signature identity. Exclusive to the SX variant, it comes with a unique 19-inch two-tone alloy wheel design too. (EX has 18-inch Alloy Wheels)
The car measures 5,155 x 1,995 x 1,740mm and weighs 2,108 kg. The wheelbase is 3,090 mm with a minimum ground clearance of 162 mm.

The interiors feature dual sunroofs, a massive 12.3-inch Multi-information display and instrument cluster, automatic climate controls, a taupe and off-black interior finish, and new Premium Relaxation seats.
Powering the vehicle is the 2.2-liter Smartstream turbo diesel engine with an 8-speed automatic transmission that produces 202 horsepower at 3,800 rpm and 440 Nm of torque. It has a Fuel Tank capacity of 72 liters.

The EX variant comes with leatherette seats, an 8-way power driver seat with 2-way lumber support, and second-row captain seats with reclining and manual long sliding capabilities. The SX variant offers an 8-way power driver seat with memory functions, 4-way lumbar support and ventilation, wireless mobile phone charging, and second-row Relaxation seats with power reclining, cushion, and leg-rest functionality.

The aforementioned 12.3-inch infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Alongside it are the 6-speaker sound system, front/rear/luggage compartment 12V 180 watt outlets, and six USB charging ports.

The included safety package comes with the 8-airbag system, front and rear parking sensors (additional side sensors on the SX variant), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Control, hill start assist, and ISOFIX anchors for secure child seat installation.
The new Carnival comes with Kia's standard 5-year or 160,000-km warranty. This is complemented with the standard Kia 24/7 roadside assistance which provides emergency towing, minor onsite repairs, and medical and personal assistance.
Both variants come in either Aurora Black Pearl or Snow White Pearl colors but only the SX variant comes in the Ceramic Silver Color.
