Leaks suggest Samsung is ditching out Exynos chips and will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite for its flagship lineup Galaxy S25 Series.

Pure Qualcomm chips on Galaxy S25 Series, why not?

The renowned tipster Ice Universe claimed that Samsung will break the tradition of using both Exynos and Qualcomm chips and will just opt with the latter.

He further said that we can expect Snapdragon 8 Elite for the entire lineup trailing away from the supposed Exynos 2500.

Speculation pertaining to Samsung's chip-sourcing plan for its next flagship is not new. Earlier rumors suggested that the phone maker could utilize a combination of Snapdragon, and Exynos chipsets, or that it might even add MediaTek's flagship into select models.

However, Ice Universe's latest statement strengthens the idea of a Snapdragon-only lineup, indicating a big change in the firm's approach to its flagship series.

Meanwhile, there are also reports Samsung having difficulty in producing the Exynos 2500 with a 20 percent yield rate. This is way too low compared to the typical 70 percent requirement.

In contrast, TSMC's 3nm technology which is utilized for the Snapdragon 8 Elite had a yield rate of above 80 percent.

Assuming these reports are true, it would make sense why the Korean tech brand is reportedly going the Snapdragon route.

Finally, Samsung is expected to introduce the S25 lineup in January 2025 which means they have around 2 months left to prove the accuracy of these reports. Let's all wait for the official announcement.

What do you guys think?
