World's first 5G 8K rugged camera

The new device is called the Nokia 360 Camera which is capable of producing 8K resolution with spatial audio with low latency for your live streams.

Moreover, the device sports 5G, WiFi, and ethernet for a variety of connections made to cater to different scenarios. The WiFi-only model is the most affordable option; however, as an industrial device, it may be out of reach for casual consumers. The 5G variant is capable of withstanding really high temperatures.

With an IP67 water resistance rating and shock resistance, the camera is extraordinarily durable overall. With built-in security hardware and cyber-secure software, it is also made to withstand different kinds of threats.

The device is also made to support Nokia's Real-time extended Reality Multimedia (RXRM) software solution. This makes it possible to use it for situational awareness, remote monitoring and inspection, and teleoperation of industrial machinery.

In addition, it allows businesses to create analytics, overlays, extended reality, and other features on top of 360° video and 3D OZO audio.

It is currently being utilized in Europe's deepest mine for research and development, as well as remote operations training in partnership with the Finnish firm Callio Pyhäjärvi.

Finally, there's no price revealed at the moment. It is expected to surface once Nokia starts rolling out the product.
