Lenovo Legion Go S launched: Ryzen Z2 Go w/ RDNA 2 GPU and SteamOS

Following its leak last December 2024, the Lenovo Legion Go S is now official as an affordable Steam OS powered handheld.

The new portable console boasts nearly identical looks of the ROG Ally with its White body, RGB sticks, traditional Xbox button layout. Meanwhile, there's adjustable triggers to cater different games from racing, to shooting or RPGs.

At the center youll find the 8-inch WUXGA display with 1920 x 1200 resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, 120Hz refresh rate (VRR), 100 percent sRGB, 500 nits peak brightness, and supports 10-point multi-touch.

Inside, it is equipped with a new exclusive AMD Ryzen Z2 Go chip with Zen 3 CPU architecture and AMD RDNA 2 graphics with 12 compute units. This offres a slightly toned down Ryzen 5 6600U in terms of performance but still surpasses the 1st Steam Deck.

For memory, it has up to 32GB LPDDR5X clocked at 6400MHz speed and comes with up to 1TB PCIe SSD storage.

For battery, the Legion Go S has 3-cell 55.5WHr size which charges using USB-C and 65W charger.

Other features mentioned are front firing speakers and microphones, cooling system to prevent slow downs on games.

For ports, it has 3.5mm audio jack, 2x USB-C 4.0 with DP 1.4 suppor + PD 3.0, and MicroSD card slot.

Wireless connectivity are WiFi 6 (2.4GHz/5GHz) and Bluetooth 5.3.

For OS, the gaming handheld is offered in either SteamOS for gaming or Windows 11 Home options.
