The more affordable high-end option?

The OnePlus 13R boasts some big upgrades in speed, battery, and Portrait shooting coming from the OnePlus 12R.

The device also uses a body with updated IP65 dust and water jet resistance, a 6.78-inch Gorilla Glass 7i protected LTPO 4.1 OLED screen with 2780 x 1624 resolution, an In-Display fingerprint reader, and a top-center punch-hole for the 16MP f/2.4 selfie camera.

For the chip, it is upgraded to the 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 octa-core processor with Adreno GPU. The memory is down to 12GB LPDDR5X and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage.

But, the battery is now packed with a 6,000mAh Si-C (Silicon-Carbon) cell with greater density than traditional lithium-ion batteries from the 5,500mAh last year.

While it has no wireless charging, the device could be charged by its stock 55W charger. The company claims that it can charge the device from 1-50 percent in just 23 minutes. If you have the extra cash, it also supports the faster OPPO SUPERVOOC 80W and 100W after-market chargers.

The cameras were updated as well. The handset now uses a 50MP f/1.8 Sony LTY-700 OIS main camera and a 50MP f/2.0 S5KJN5 2x zoom for improved Portraits and zoom. However, the ultra-wide camera is stuck to 8MP.

OnePlus said that its Android 15 OS with OxygenOS 15 skin now has better AI capabilities like Intelligent Search, Google Gemini with Circle to Search, PassScan, and Magic Compose, AI Detail Boost that improves pixelated cropped images, AI Unblur, and AI Reflection Eraser, among others.
