2-in-1 flat and curved monitor?

Yes you read that right, it's like having a flat monitor then seamlessly switch its mode to a curve whenever you feel like doing so.

Speaking of bendable, the monitor can achieve up to 900R curvature just like the ones you see on typical curved displays.

The said product is named LG UltraGear 45GX990A. It boasts 45-inch WOLED panel with 5K 5,120 x 2,160 resolution, and 21:9 aspect ratio. On the other hand, the 45GX950A model will be a standard curved screen version with 800R curvature.

Moreover, It has LG's second-generation Dual-Mode capability, which lets players choose between screen sizes (39, 34, or 27 inches) and aspect ratios (21:9 or 16:9) to accommodate various gaming styles, including racing simulations, FPS, RPG, and MOBA.

These monitors are ideal for productivity tasks as well as gaming because of its 4-side Virtually Borderless design, small bezels, and 125 PPI resolution, which guarantees sharpness and text readability.

Both also have DisplayPort 2.1, HMDI 2.1, USB-C 90W PD to support current GPUs. They also have VRR  support and NVIDIA G-SYNC or AMD FreeSync Premium Pro for reduced screen tearing.

Last but not least, the LG UltraGear 39GX90SA Smart Monitor is made for streaming and gaming. This 39-inch display, which is powered by LG's webOS platform, serves as a multipurpose entertainment center that enables users to access streaming services without the need for a PC or set-top box. It is ideal for AAA games, HDR films, and TV shows because of its 21:9 curved OLED display, which produces vibrant colors and deep blacks.

Finally, there are still missing pieces like the refresh rates of these monitors as well as the price and availability. LG should reveal these information on the actual CES 2025 this coming January 8 to 11.

What do you guys think?
