eGov AI "all-in-one" government assistant spotted, but searches not set for Philippine users by default

The Philippine government has silently made the "eGov AI" feature available on the eGov super app.

Dubbed "Juan", the feature is said to be an "all-in-one" government assistant to help Filipinos enjoy real-time government service guidance.

Not set for PH users yet

It comes with an AI Assistant (real-time government guidance), a Document Extractor (extracts text from images or scanned documents), an Image Identifier (identifies and classifies images instantly), and a Translator (supports multiple Philippine languages for accessibility).

The service is powered by a large language model, trained by Google.

However, we suspect that the "eGov AI" is still in its beta or pre-release state.

Redditors on r/Tech_Philippines pointed out that searches are not set for Philippine users by default. So to get answers, you need to be specific when searching that what you need is for Philippine users.

Team GIZGUIDE also tried using it on the app, but it is not working yet.

Hoping that they get to fix this soon as eGov PH users can now access the said AI chatbot.
