Kia Sorento Turbo Hybrid 7-seater launched: 1.6L turbocharged hybrid powertrain, luxury interiors, PHP 2.188M starting price

Kia Philippines and ACMobility have introduced the first Sorento series SUV with a hybrid powertrain that focuses on performance and fuel efficiency.

Performance, Luxury, and Fuel Efficiency in One?

In its 23-year history, the new Sorento Turbo Hybrid is the first to feature a hybrid train. It has a 1.6L turbocharged engine with an electric motor capable of generating 235 PS and 367 Nm of Torque. This is while producing a fuel efficiency of up to 23km/l in urban settings and up to 22km/l on the highway.

It is capable of transitioning to pure electric vehicle mode with speeds of up to 80km/h which should make it perfect for city driving. The car is available in both FWD and AWD variants with selectable driving modes and terrain-specific options, making it adaptable for various driving conditions.

Kia's Electrification Vehicle Motion Control (E-VMC) is incorporated into the vehicle for enhanced handling and safety such as E-Handling and E-Evasive Handling Assist. The cabin is predominantly made of premium materials, leather upholstery and power adjustable seating and seat ventilation. It also comes with dual 12.3-inch displays, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and Smart Tailgate.

Included safety features include Kia DriveWise Advanced driver assistance systems such as Smart Cruise Control, Blind Spot View Monitor, Lane Keeping and Follow Assist, 360-degree Surround View Monitor and Forward/Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist.

The SUV comes in either Volcanic Sand Brown, Aurora Black Pearl, Silky Silver, and Snow White Pearl.
