iPad Air 2025 priced in PH: M3 chip + 11/13-inch displays + 12MP cam, starts at PHP 42,990

Apple has introduced new products for the Mac and iPad. Among them is the 2025 version of iPad Air.

Obviously, the latest change is the Apple M3 processor, which is comprised of an 8-core CPU, a 9-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine. This provides 35 percent CPU performance in terms of multi-threaded and provides 40 percent better GPU if compared to the M1 chip.

For the first time, the new iPad Air supports hardware-accelerated mesh shading, ray tracing, and dynamic caching. According to the firm, the iPad Air with M3 provides up to 4 times quicker performance than the iPad Air with M1 for graphics-intensive rendering workflows, allowing for more realistic gaming experiences and more accurate lighting, reflections, and shadows.

11-inch or 13-inch Retina displays

In terms of screens, you can still select from sizes such as 11-inch (2360 x 1640 resolution) or 13-inch (2732 x 2048) Retina True Tone with wide P3 color gamut, 500 nits peak brightness and 264 PPI.

The aforementioned M3 chip is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB/512G/1TB storage options.

For battery, the 11-inch model has 28.93WHr size while the 13-inch has 36.59WHr capacity. Both are rated to last up to 10 hours or 9 hours with the 5G cellular model.

The cameras remain unchanged, such as the 12MP camera for the rear with 4K 60fps video recording and the 12MP ultra-wide center stage front camera with FHD 60 fps recording.

It still retained the landscape stereo speakers, 2x microphones, and Touch ID.

Connectivity-wise, the tablets offer optional 5G (eSIM), WiFi 6E (2.4GHz/5GHz) 2x2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, GNSS, Thunderbolt 3 support, USB 4 or 3.

For software, it runs iPadOS 18 out of the box.

Finally, it also now supports the New Magic Keyboard offering a bigger trackpad, a new 14-key function row for quick access to features such as screen brightness or volume.

Currently, the new iPad Air 2025 can be viewed on Apple's website. As for availability, Digital Walker, Beyond the Box, or other official sellers have not yet announced its arrival in PH.
