MWC 2025: Nothing Phone (3a) launched in PH: SD7sG3, 120Hz AMOLED, 50MP cameras, PHP 19,990 starting price

After months of leaks and teasers, the Nothing Phone (3a) is equipped with updated Glyph interface LEDs, Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 and 50MP rear cameras.

The new nothing Phone (3a) builds on last year's Phone (2a) with squared corners and further refinements to its rear design and the Glyph Interface. The brand is touting the new Glyph LEDs with 26 individually addressable zones. Applications for the interface include: Glyph Timer, Essential Notifications, Volume Indicator, Glyph Composer, Glyph Torch, Glyph Progress, Flip to Glyph, Flip to Glyph, Bedtime Schedule, Music Visualisation, Camera Countdown and Glyph Fill Light.

The body is IP64 dust and water-resistant, measuring 163.52 x 77.5 x 8.35mm. It weighs 201 grams. It comes in either Black, White or Blue.

Nothing Phone (3a)'s rear camera

In front is a 6.77-inch flexible AMOLED screen with a 2,392 x 1,080 resolution, a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, a 480Hz touch sampling rate, a 3000 nits peak brightness and 2,160Hz PWM dimming. It is Panda Glass protected.

Inside is the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, Adreno GPU, Hexagon NPU, 8GB/12GB RAM, 128GB/256GB storage and a 5,000mAh battery with 50W fast charging via USB-C. The brand is advertising that 1 to 100 percent only takes 56 minutes.

At the back are the 50MP f/1.88 main camera with 1/1.57-inch Samsung sensor with PDAF and OIS, a 50MP f/2.0 2x telephoto camera with 1/2.74-inch Samsung sensor with EIS and 30x digital zoom, and an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera. While in front is the 32MP f/2.2 selfie camera with a 1/3.44-inch Samsung sensor.

Other features include dual Nano-SIM, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, WiFi 6, 5G, 4G LTE, Stereo speakers, in-display fingerprint scanner, and IP64 water and dust resistance.

In the Philippines, pre-orders begin on March 8 until March 12, 2025. It will arrive in the Philippines on March 29, 2025.
