Stylish budget phone from Redmi

The phone sports three design choices: Green, Gold, and Black.

In front, it has a 6.88-inch LCD (IPS) screen with HD+ 1640 x 720 resolution at 260 ppi, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 450 nits peak brightness.

Inside, the phone uses a 1.8GHz UNISOC T7250 8-core chip with Mali-G57 MP1 GPU, 4GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB eMMC 5.1 storage, 5,200mAh battery with 15W fast charging.

For cameras, it has a 32MP main shooter with LED flash and an 8MP front camera for selfies.

Other features mentioned are a 3.5mm headphone jack, sidemounted fingerprint scanner, and AI Facial recognition.

For connectivity, it has WiFi (2.4GHz/5GHz), 4G, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and dual SIM.

For OS, the phone runs Android 15 (Go edition) out of the box.

Indonesia price with direct to PHP conversion (no taxes and duties yet):

Redmi A5 4GB/128GB - IDR 1,199,000 (around PHP 4.1K)

It is currently available in Indonesia through Xiaomi's official online and offline stores. No word yet if this will come to the Philippines. We will inform you once we hear from Xiaomi.
