BIWIN flexes its chops
BIWIN Storage Technology Co., Ltd., founded in 1995 in Shenzhen, China, is listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange's STAR Market (Stock Symbol: 688525). Its expertise includes more than two decades of manufacturing consumer-grade SSDs, DRAM modules, USB flash drives, and memory cards for PCs, smartphones, smart TVs, wearables, and gaming systems.
One of their noteworthy achievement over the years is that their storage technology is certified for use in Raspberry Pi devices. This means that their products are compatible and meet the required standards for use with Raspberry Pi microcomputers.

The first of their new products is the Black Opal X570 Pro and X570. It is their high-performance PCIe Gen5x4 NVMe 2.0 M.2 2280 SSD and is designed for power users, gamers, and professionals who require extreme speed and reliability for data-intensive tasks.
The Black Opal X570 Pro uses a Silicon Motion SM2508 (8-channel controller, 6nm process, flash interface at 3,600 MT/s), and comes in either 1TB, 2TB, or 4TB options. It is capable of 14,000 MB/s read speeds and 10,500 (1TB) to 13,000 MB/s (2TB & 4TB) write speeds.
The next product is the new Black Opal DW100 DDR5. It comes in a variety of capacities from 32GB (2x 16GB) up to 192GB (4x 48GB) and has a data rate of 6,000 MT/s up to 8,400 MT/s. It is available in Black and White, and it features a three-fin cooling design. It supports Intel and AMD for One-click overclocking.

Next are the Amber PR2000 Portable SSD. It is IP67 dust and water resistance rated and connects via USB Type-C 3.2 Gen2x2. It comes in 512GB, 1TB, 2TB, or 4TB capacities and is capable of up to 2,000MB/s read speeds and 1,800MB/s write speeds.
It has a TPU and Silicone outer shell material, and it measures 90.8 x 58.75 x 11.85mm. It weighs 60 grams and is compatible with Windows 10/11, macOS 10.6+, Android 7.0+, HyperOS 1.0+, HarmonyOS 3.0+, iOS 15/16, and other USB-C Apple devices, and other devices with OTG support.

Last up are the Amber CA400 CFexpress 4.0 Type-A and the CB600 CFexpress 4.0 Type-B cards. Both are made for 8K video with storage capacities of up to 1 TB. The Type-A card is capable of up to 1,850 MB/s read speeds and up to 1,700MB/s write speeds, while the Type-B cards are capable of 3,750MB/s read speeds and up to 3,500 MB/s write speeds.
BIWIN is offering a 5-year limited warranty for its Black Opal X570 series and the Amber PR2000 Portable SSD. While the rest come with a limited lifetime warranty.
There is no word yet on Philippine availability and pricing, but BIWIN has official distributors locally.
