HONOR 400 and 400 Pro (Global) launched: 200MP main camera, 6,000mAh battery, Snapdragon 8 or 7 Gen 3

The HONOR 400 and 400 Pro go official today in Malaysia. These are upgraded mid-range models equipped with 200MP main cameras.

These devices pack a premium design available in Desert Gold, Tidal Blue, Lunar Grey, and Midnight Black colorways. Both phones feature an IP68 and IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.

The HONOR 400 design

In front, the vanilla HONOR 400 uses a 6.55-inch 1.5K 2736 x 1264 resolution AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The HONOR 400 Pro gets a bit bigger, a 6.7-inch Quad Curved AMOLED screen, and a 120Hz refresh rate. Both versions also have 5,000 nits peak brightness for easier visibility under direct sunlight.

Inside, the HONOR 400 uses a 2.6GHz 4nm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 octa-core chip with Adreno GPU. It is paired with 12GB/256GB or 12GB/512GB storage options.

The HONOR 400 Pro

Meanwhile, the HONOR 400 Pro gets a 3.3GHz Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 8-core processor with Adreno GPU and is coupled with a single 12GB/512GB storage.

Both phones pack 6,000mAh batteries with USB-C 80W charging for HONOR 400 and 100W wired + 50W wireless charging support for the 400 Pro.

Camera-wise, both are equipped with a 200MP f/1.9 1/1.4-inch sensor with OIS and a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide sensor with OIS as well. The Pro edition also gets an extra 50MP f/2.4 Sony IMX856 3x telephoto sensor.

In terms of selfies and video calls, the two phones use using 50MP f/2.0 front camera.

HONOR also boasts its new AI Image to Video feature, which was developed in collaboration with Google Cloud. This capability lets users turn a still image into a 5-second video, animating the subjects in the photo and making them appear lively.

Furthermore, the phones also feature AI Cutout, AI Eraser 2.0, AI Outpainting, AI Upscale, and AI Face Tune.

Connectivity features are WiFi 6, 5G, 4G, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM.

For OS, the devices run Android 15 with MagicOS 9.0 skin on top. These phones are also eligible for up to 6 years of software updates, making them more future-proof.

HONOR 400 12GB/256GB - MYR 1,899 (around PHP 24.7K)

HONOR 400 12GB/512GB - MYR 2,199 (around PHP 28.6K)

HONOR 400 Pro 12GB/512GB - MYR 2,699 (around PHP 35.2K)

The phones are now available for pre-order in Malaysia, while the sale begins on May 29.
