OPPO collabs with Google Gemini for the Reno14 Series

Following the official release of the Reno14 Series last week, OPPO also announced its collaboration with Google Gemini to power the device's AI.

OPPO and Google have recently deepened their collaboration, with OPPO’s flagship Find X8 now supporting Android 16 Beta 3. 

Meanwhile, the upcoming Reno14 Series will further integrate Google's Gemini AI, enabling cross-app functionality with OPPO Notes, Calendar, and Clock. This development highlights OPPO’s focus on delivering seamless AI-driven experiences.

The Reno14 Series will allow users to access Gemini by holding the side button, facilitating tasks across multiple apps. For example, Gemini can summarize documents and save the output directly to OPPO Notes or extract key steps from YouTube recipe tutorials for quick reference.

The AI will also streamline scheduling. After booking travel, users can instruct Gemini to add the details to OPPO Calendar, automatically creating an event. These features aim to simplify complex tasks and improve efficiency.

OPPO's AI Strategy and Future Goals

At MWC 2025, OPPO outlined its expanded AI strategy, emphasizing secure and evolving AI solutions. The company aims to introduce generative AI features to around 100 million users by the end of 2025. 

Google, Android, and Gemini are trademarks of Google LLC, so results may vary as per OPPO's statement.  Availability will depend on device, region, and language.
