Better and bigger displays for Xiaomi TVs

Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi TV S Mini LED 2025, featuring improved brightness, advanced backlight control, and a premium anti-reflective screen.

The 98-inch variant includes 1092 local dimming zones for precise backlight management, while all sizes, ranging from 55 to 98 inches, deliver a peak brightness of up to 1700 nits.

Moreover, they feature 3840 x 2160 pixel resolution, 178-degree viewing angle, 94 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, and 10-bit color depth supporting up to 1.07 billion colors. The TV also offers a 144Hz refresh rate, 120Hz MEMC dynamic compensation, 288Hz gaming mode, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and DTS-X support.

Under the hood, it runs on a quad-core Cortex A73 MediaTek processor paired with a Mali-G52 MC1 GPU, along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

The TV is equipped with 2 x 15W speakers and four dedicated sound units, two treble and two full-range, tuned by the Harman AudioEFX team for an enhanced audio experience.

It supports WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and multiple connectivity options including HDMI 2.0, HDMI 2.1, eARC, USB ports, S/PDIF, Ethernet, and an NFC-enabled remote control.

The device operates on Xiaomi HyperOS 2. Software upgrades powered by Xiaomi’s in-house picture engine and color management system aim to deliver vivid and lifelike visuals.

The company claims the screen has a reflectivity of just 1.8 percent, significantly lower than standard TVs, improving clarity.
