HUAWEI Watch 5 now available in PH: X-Tap Sensor, 3,000 nits display, up to 11-days battery, starts at PHP 22,999

Following its initial appearance last May 2025, the HUAWEI Watch 5 is now available in the Philippines.

To recall, the HUAWEI Watch 5 series introduces several upgrades, including a redesigned build, enhanced health tracking, and improved usability.

Starting with its design, the watch includes premium materials like sapphire glass and aerospace-grade titanium or stainless steel casings. Durability is rated at 5 ATM water resistance with additional IP69 certification.

It also sports a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED screen for the 46mm edition, while the 42mm version has a 1.38-inch size. Both of them feature 466 x 466 resolution and have up to 3,000 nits peak brightness.

The wearable boasts the new X-Tap sensor, a multi-functional module that combines ECG, PPG, and tactile sensors to streamline health monitoring. 

HUAWEI claims the side-mounted sensor allows faster fingertip SpO2 readings in approximately 10 seconds and can compile 11 health metrics in under a minute through its "Health Glance" feature, with improved accuracy over traditional wrist-based sensors.

The watches also support gesture-based controls for calls, music, and camera functions, along with over 100 workout modes aided by the upgraded Sunflower Positioning System for better tracking accuracy.

Battery life varies by model as well. The larger 46mm version lasts up to 7 days in standard use and up to 11 days in power-saving mode. 

The 42mm variant offers up to 3 days with standard and 7 days with battery saver. Additionally, they can be charged using the 2nd-gen SuperCharger.

Connectivity features include eSIM support, WiFi 6, dual-band GNSS, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC payments.
