Xiaomi has introduced the Redmi K Pad, its first compact tablet under the Redmi lineup, featuring a smaller display with a sleek and premium design. The device comes in three color options: Spruce Green, Smoky Purple, and Deep Black.
The tablet sports an 8.8-inch LCD panel with a 3008 x 1880 resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The custom 3K display supports a variable 165Hz refresh rate and a 372Hz touch sampling rate, 700 nits peak brightness, HDR10, HDR Vivid, and Dolby Vision support.
Xiaomi uses a Real RGB pixel arrangement and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection, while TÜV Rheinland triple certifications and S++ eye-care grading reduce flicker and blue light emissions.
Inside, the Redmi K Pad is powered by a 3.7GHz 3nm MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ octa-core chip with Immortalis-G925 MC12 GPU. Memory configurations go up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.

The features |
It also incorporates Xiaomi’s Rage Engine 4.0 for optimized performance and efficiency. The tablet adopts Android’s first center-placed SoC layout to improve thermal distribution, aided by a 12,050mm² aluminum alloy vapor chamber for sustained performance.
The device houses a 7,500mAh battery with USB-C 67W wired fast charging. It also supports Xiaomi’s Bypass Charging Plus, which allows direct power supply from the charger during intensive tasks to minimize heat. The battery is TÜV SÜD certified to retain 80 percent capacity after 1,800 charging cycles.
For imaging, the tablet includes a 13MP OV13B rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and PDAF, alongside an 8MP OV08D front-facing camera for video calls and selfies. Both cameras are tuned for basic photography and conferencing needs.
Additional features include a quad-ring symmetrical dual-speaker system that is 78 percent louder and 15 percent thinner than previous designs, with Dolby Atmos support.
The tablet also has dual USB-C ports and large X-axis linear motors for enhanced haptic feedback. It's all-metal unibody construction ensures durability and a premium feel.
Connectivity options include a tri-antenna setup for improved WiFi 7 stability and reduced latency during online gaming.
The Redmi K Pad runs on HyperOS 2, based on Android 15, offering a streamlined interface and full integration with Xiaomi’s ecosystem. It supports PC-level productivity apps, remote PC access, and seamless cross-platform functionality with Apple devices.
