The Breville Smart Oven Pizzaiolo is the first domestic benchtop oven to hit 400 degrees Celsius, promising "brick oven performance" at a fraction of the cost.

Element IQ system

According to the company, it can cook an authentic wood-fired style pizza in 2 minutes, replicating the three types of heat generated by a brick oven (conductive, radiant, convective).

The oven uses the company's Element IQ system for optimum cooking performance. It has an innovative cavity design utilizing sensors, PID temperature control, and optimized deflector technology.

Breville said that its system adjusts which heating elements are on and the power of each to ensure that the pizza is cooked to "perfection".

It promises intense radiant heat that is evenly controlled using Breville's patent-pending heating elements, so there is no need to rotate food while cooking.

It also has heat-intensifying parabolic reflectors maximizing the efficiency of the top heating elements by reflecting energy onto the crust as well as an integrated deck-to-door design that moves the pizza closer to the elements, which makes it easy to load and unload.

400 degrees Celcius heat

Breville also promises that its combination of double-pane heat-resistant front window and multi-material insulation surrounding the heat chamber ensures the extreme temperatures remain inside the oven cavity while keeping the outside surfaces cool.
