HONOR Magic V5 confirmed to launch in the Philippines on September 5

HONOR Magic V5 is launching in the Philippines in the 1st week of September in partnership with Globe.

The HONOR Magic V5 is set to launch in the Philippines soon

HONOR has started teasing the thinnest foldable in the world with a large battery capacity through its official Facebook page.

As per the post, the Magic V5 will be available exclusively via Globe Telecommunications, and it will launch on September 5, 2025.

To recap, the said foldable boasts a 4.1mm (White) or 4.2mm (Black, Red, Gold) thickness in its unfolded state, all while having a 5,820mAh battery. 

In comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold7 has a 4.2mm thickness but only has a 4,400mAh battery.

The Magic V5 also boasts a 7.95-inch main OLED screen with 2352 x 2172 resolution and a 6.43-inch outer OLED with 2376 x 1060 resolution. Both panels feature an adaptive 1-120Hz refresh rate, a 5,000 nits peak brightness, and an HDR Vivid and Dolby Vision certification. 

Furthermore, the Inner screen is Glory King Kong Flexible Armor protected, while the outer screen is Giant Rhino Glass protected.

It also features the 4.32GHz 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip with Adreno GPU, 12GB/16GB RAM, 256GB/512GB/1TB storage, 66W USB-C wired charging, and 50W wireless charging support.

The freebies

For its cameras, the Magic V uses a 50MP f/1.6 main camera with OIS + 50MP f/2.0 ultra-wide camera + 64MP f/2.5 3x Periscope telephoto camera with OIS and an LED Flash. 

The inner and external screens each have a punch hole containing identical 20MP f/2.2 selfie cameras.

Finally, the HONOR Magic V5 comes with exclusive freebies of HONOR Pad X8A and DJI Neo Drone Camer, both having a total worth of PHP 18,000.
